Okay, let the whining begin!

We have gone way too long in updating the software for the forum and we needed to pull the lever in order to get some spam protections and other badly needed upgrades. What came with the deal is this whole new look. I'm not the back office guy...but our back office adminstrator spent a good portion yesterday installing the upgrade which came with this new look and features. There is going to be a learning curve for all of us. As far as I can see we have all the old features and some new ones...but the old features are just relocated in new places.

Please snoop around and poke some buttons, flips some new switches and test out our new digs. If you learn something new or figure out how something works then please let everyone know by posting an update in this section.

Supporting Vendors...please be patient as we try to figure out how to upload your ads...the new software is so different on the back side that we honestly don't know how to post the ads. So please accept our apology and we'll do something to make it right for you.

I'm fine with it. Some of the features we're used to are just located in slightly different places, is all. But it all seems to be there. Like Dan said, just poke around and make some discoveries. It all works. :)

Actually after fooling around in here there are some really cool and enhancd features...I notice the new polling feature now allows you to delete your vote so you can change it...so for example if you voted a year ago that you only have an Oregon CHL and now you have your Utah you can go back and drop your original vote for Oregon only and then delete and select the Oregon/Utah...for example.

The look is different...the icons different but overall it is the same but enhanced. It will not allow RSS feed (whatever that is) and Twitter and Facebook.

Also I noticed on posts and threads you can click a button to send the post/thread to someone by email, you can download it to your computer with a click of a button and one button printing...come on now guys, this new update isn't that bad?

Geez, in 1894 Winchester introduced a whole new concept...a new and improved level rifle that was lighter and more streamline than the previous model 74's, 76's, and 86's. Also it shot this new fangled "smokeless" (whatever that is) propellant and "get this" even introduced some new cartridges that shot smaller caliber and lighter weight than we're used too...I believe it is called the Model 1894 Winchester and these new cartridges are the 30WCF (30-30) and 32WCF (32 Special). Oh that new rifle and cartridge is just a passing fad...we want our old clunky and heavy 1886 rifles back!

Perhaps this will help us become acclimated to the new icons on the forum sections...

We just upgraded to ver.3 of this same forum format over at brianenos.com (the IPSC forum) and talk about WHINING!!... I think they'll all 'get over it' in time, but the complaints were anticipated. Some people are just lazy about the modest challenges of ANYTHING new, I swear. The benefits of the new forum underpinnings surely far outweigh the reluctance of a few individuals.
